Y4J in collaboration with University of Hyderabad (UoH), organized a first-of-its-kind event in Hyderabad – “Career Expo 2019 for Persons with Disability” on the 15th and 16th of April 2019 (Monday, Tuesday). The aim was to provide information and access to career options available in various leading organizations under one roof for persons with disability.
Almost 400 candidates with different disabilities viz. locomotor disability, speech and hearing disability, low vision and visually impaired attended the Career Expo 2019. 17 corporate representatives from various sectors like IT, ITeS, Hospitality, Retail, Banking & Finance, BPO, etc., participated in the Career Expo. To name a few – Dell, JPMC, Microsoft, Walmart, etc. were present. This Career Expo was thus an excellent opportunity to meet, interview and assess this job-ready talent pool, who add value to the organization by enhancing creativity, productivity, passion and employee retention.
